Okay, mechanics are scary. Especially if you are a girl like me... who knows NOTHING about cars, or what "feels right" or "feels wrong" or, does the car really NEED a new transmission? Or is that optional?I've dealt with my fair share of mechanics. ALL of them have tried to pull the wool over my eyes. My most recent story: Went to go get my oil changed at "Oil Change Shop ABC" (cause it's close to my office) and they told me i need new brakes or my car may cause me to get in a wreck... and asked me if i wanted them to do them right then and there. i said i'd have to 'think about it' as the guy hard sells me even more. What i really meant was, 'i'm taking the car to Marqueen to see what's up."Low and behold, Nate at Marqueen said my brakes were perfect. That is the kind of place Marqueen is. A girl like me who knows nothing of cars can actually TRUST these guys. When something is wrong, they will fix it and not try to sell me anything else. They don't screw with their customers, cause the customer will find out. My car needed some stuff done to it last time and they had it fixed the SAME DAY i dropped it off. They even fixed something else wrong with it for me for the price of the part only, i think because Nate felt so bad for me for having such a piece of shit car (Hyundai Santa Fe).Basically, these guys rock. If you're looking for an honest, reliable, fast, affordable, and awesome mechanic, head here. Even if you're way up in Lynnwood or Tacoma. It's SO worth the drive!

Marqueen Garage estimated my repairs at a THIRD of the price the dealership quoted me, and it took less than 24 hours to get it done. The owner is super friendly and informative for an ignorant autophile like me. Never going to a dealership again.

During the last freezing December my car broke down and it sounded like the starter went out. I tested the battery at Sears and they said it was fine, my buddy and I tried everything to narrow down the problem. I was convinced it was the starter and was dreading getting it fixed because that is costly to fix. But I took it to Marqueen Garage and it turns out it wasn't the starter it was something else, something simple and inexpensive. He barely charged me for his time and sent me on my way. The car has been running great. I am very thankful I found this place, he is a great mechanic and best of all he could have changed my starter and charged me a lot of money and I wouldn't have known the difference. But he didn't, he was honest. That impresses me. Thanks Marqueen.

These guys are great. I've brought my Honda Accord in for a couple minor issues, and the service is always fast, efficient, reasonably priced and honest. It's a relief not to have to worry about getting taking advantage of.

I'm not kidding, Marqueen Garage is the real deal. My only regret is I didn't find him about 5 years ago when my guy Lester on Rainier retired and went back to China. The work was done on time, under estimate. When my wife dropped by with a question on our other car, he did a little tweek and sent her away, no charge. My friend in a Queen Anne bar told me about him, I guess his dad went to school on Queen Anne with the garage owner.I hope he stays put, never retires.

Marqueen was a life saver for me. I though something was seriously wrong with my car and they fixed one little thing and didn't charge me for it. It's been running great ever since.

Really excellent service. If they seem overwhelmingly busy, it's because they are. I had my car fixed by a "friend of a friend" and he did a really s--ty job of it. I took it into these guys, and they were very nice and patient and explained exactly what the "friend of a friend" did wrong. They fixed it all right, and the bill wasn't NEARLY as scary as I was afraid. They're very neat and clean, don't "talk down" to women, and the don't have that "BS" factor you run into at car dealerships.
